Understanding Insights and Clips
Every analyzer has Insights and Clips — what to open when, and how they work together.
An analyzer isn’t one giant page of noise. It’s a two-tab workflow.
Insights tells you what to make. Clips shows the proof.
The same layout applies to Creators, Collections, and Topics.
Insights
Your playbook view. Open this when you need the story across the analyzer — DNA, why content wins, strategy, formulas, and what to create next — before you dive into every clip.
On creators you’ll typically see profile pulse metrics, win patterns, content strategy, playbook, similar creators, and top examples. Collections and topics emphasize campaign or category patterns (formats, hooks, thumbnails, leading authors) instead of a single profile.
Clips
The source material. Browse, filter, and open examples so every insight stays tied to a real Instagram or TikTok clip — not a vague vibe.
If you only keep one habit in ClipSonar, make it: read Insights, then back claims with Clips.
A simple flow that works
- Skim Insights until the narrative is clear
- Open Clips to shortlist or show proof
- Brief the next post, pitch, or campaign — or pull context into Claude via MCP
Working across multiple creators or a campaign theme? Use a collection. Mapping a whole category from a brief? Use a topic.
